What Are Large Numbers?

In Class 5, students learn to work with numbers up to 9 digits or more, such as:

  • 1,000 (One thousand)

  • 10,000 (Ten thousand)

  • 1,00,000 (One lakh)

  • 1,000,000 (One million), and so on.

 Writing Number Names

This means writing numbers in words.

Example:

Writing Standard Forms

This means writing numbers in figures/digits.

Example:
